Our CAVALRY
an invaluable gem
The Alexis Gruss company's stables house around fifty artist horses of different breeds, all selected for their abilities, temperament, and aesthetics. Heavy horses are the preferred partners for equestrian vaulters, while spirited saddle horses, also known as warmbloods, are reserved for high-school equestrians' demonstrations and various liberty presentations.
They are artists in their own right, educated rather than trained, and evolve alongside the human artists. They receive the utmost care from them.

Daily care
Our cavalry receives regular and tailored care from the Company’s teams. Maud Florees, head of the cavalry, rigorously manages the horses’ care and training.
An osteopath, farrier, and veterinarian are called upon to ensure the horses’ well-being. Training is daily, day after day, to meet the demands of the profession and the shows, and to successfully educate three distinct generations: experienced horses, those in their prime, and young horses in training.
Attend equestrian rehearsals on Sunday mornings
Without registration and free of charge, you can come and attend our cavalry’s public rehearsals. Discover behind the scenes of the stables and the horses’ daily work. A moment of exchange and education with the artists and their horses.

Retirement and Equine Therapy
At Parc Alexis Gruss in Piolenc, Vaucluse, we leverage horse retirement as a tool for care, transmission, and inclusion. The SECOND LIFE program combines culture, animal welfare, and human health to support vulnerable individuals:
- children with autism and/or disabilities, patients in remission, isolated elderly people, and individuals in reconstruction and reintegration.
Your commitment alongside us brings to life Alexis Gruss’s vision and wish: that of the horse becoming a care partner, and of a domain becoming a place of connection.
The Horse TEMPLE
The family plans to settle long-term in Béziers. Their project, by 2028: the Conservatory of Equestrian and Ring Arts!
Located at the current site of Les Folies Gruss, Route de Narbonne, at the entrance to Béziers, this unique venue will merge tradition, innovation, and training to celebrate equestrian heritage while shaping the future of live arts and horse-related professions. Because, for Firmin Gruss and his family, equestrian art is anything but dusty: it constantly renews itself. Through its multiple facets, the Conservatory aims to become a center of excellence and a space for transmission.
ANIMAL WELFARE WILL BE AT THE HEART OF THE PROJECT
Naturally, because Alexis Gruss, a world-renowned master equestrian, dedicated his life to transmitting the art of training horses to present them in shows. He refused to speak of horse dressage, preferring the term education. Indeed, for horses to perform in public, they must be prepared through a three-year journey, from breaking to their first steps in the ring.
Exceptional equestrian training will emphasize respect and a deep understanding of the horse. The training will be supervised by experts in ethology and education, combining ancestral techniques and modern approaches, to train versatile, balanced horses ready to shine in the ring arts. Each horse is considered a partner.
